The alley behind the studio offers up so many interesting objects and images!
I wish I was at the beach! It’s hot and getting hotter! This print was inspired by standing with my feet in saltwater on a Gloucester beach last year. The sunlight sparkled on the rippling waters, highlighting all the pebbles as they rolled in the gentle surf. When I was working on the print, I began to embellish and add imagery from the tidal pools in Maine that I love so much.
Jennet Jones, from Feathered Nest Studio, taught a class on making simple art journals at Ragged Edge Studio .
What a great way to use those prints that just don’t quite make it on their own! She showed us lot’s of other ideas for interesting books, and it’s really got me excited to create more.
Liz, Steve and I made some graffiti styled T’s for fun, funky gifts. We painted the thickened dye on a glass table top using brushes, fingers and squeeze bottles.
