In the spray of Cohoes Falls, I wonder whose history and memories these remnants document.
Shards pop into my camera lens and I am drawn into focus, the bits of flotsam now forming fragmentary images in my own life.
These works are digital collages from an ongoing series of photographs I have taken along the Mohawk River, below the Cohoes Falls, documenting the curious amount of fabric remnants , fishing line, and other debris collected at the water’s edge.
Come and see and purchase the latest work from Cohoes artists,
including Ragged Edge members Mary Ellen Riell, Helga Prichard, Sunghee Park,
Ruby Silvious and myself participating Friday and Saturday this weekend
plus have a chance to remember Lise Toch with special auction items.

It’s a new year at Ragged Edge Printmaking Studio. We have new studio partners and new energy. We have been having open studio sessions and looking for others who want to join in the fun. Watch for more scarf printing classes, or be in contact to see how you can hasten spring by making art.
On Friday, October 14, as part of Art Night Schenectady, they have invited me to come in and show a wide range of ways to use scarves to add flair to any outfit. Over the years I have learned many tricks and techniques to use scarves, and it will be my pleasure to share these with you.
Come down and meet me. You can say hello and then wander to the great events of Art Night, you can browse The Open Door, and you can get a personal consultation on what styles and colors will suit you and your personal style.
A last lazy day cruising (where was the wind?!) from Broadalbin to Northampton Beach on Steve’s sailboat. A perfect day wedged in between the Cohoes Art Event and my first day of work at my new day job.
I wish I had more photos to show you of our Open Studios Art Event! It was quite a success, with over 35 artists, all with a Cohoes connection. We had over 200 guests Friday night, and another 100 Saturday.
My work was shown with other Ragged Edge artists in a second gallery, just down the street from where the reception and main event was held.
Thank you to all who exhibited, attended, and helped pull it all together! We look forward to more art related events in Cohoes in the near future!
